Dr. Clanton grew up in a military family but considers Alabama her home state. She attended the University of Alabama for her undergraduate degrees in biology and nutrition, followed by earning a master’s degree in biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Clanton then moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
After finishing dental school, Dr. Clanton completed a General Practice Residency at UNC Hospital, focusing on caring for patients with intellectual disabilities and complex medical needs. She is now excited to join the CarolinasDentist family and connect with patients of all ages. Dr. Clanton strives to create a calm and welcoming experience for all patients, believing in the importance of personalized and comprehensive oral health understanding.
Dr. Clanton considers North Carolina her new home and has enjoyed exploring the state. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and small dog, crocheting, traveling, and reading.
